"Snakehandeler"Marc Burckhardt has been named Texas State Artist for 2010. No stranger to publicity, he has done work for the History Channel, TIME magazine, and Texas Monthly just to name a few. His work has been collected by the late Johnny Cash, Ralph Lauren, and Oprah Winfrey among others. Burkhardt has put his mark on the national and international art scene exhibiting in several shows a year since 2004. He has a blog, a website, and a book, "American Paintings" to view his work or find out what he is doing next. This hardworking artist is in great company.
